Man Found Living In The Grove Parking Structure, Five Months After Getting Lost

MID CITY, LOS ANGELES — A man was found living in a corner of The Grove’s parking structure after he got lost trying to find the exit five months ago and gave up. Jerry Newell, once of Playa Vista, said he went to The Grove in January to “return something to the Crate & Barrel and maybe get some Brazilian BBQ from the Farmers Market because that is some good meat.” When he left, he got lost driving around looking for the exit, confused by all the signs and roundabouts. He tried to exit the parking structure on foot, but got lost again. Newell is now safe back in Playa Vista, though he misses the lively music that could be heard nightly coming from The Grove.
