Ricky’s Fish Tacos Doesn’t Have As Many Hipsters As You Would Think

DOWNTOWN LA — Ricky’s Fish Tacos, the food stand that was recently kicked out of Los Feliz earlier this year for health violations, has popped up along Main St. in Downtown LA and there are not as many hipsters frequenting the shop as you would think. The very popular taco stand was a hipster favorite in Los Feliz and often found itself on all of LA’s best tacos lists but a recent trip to the new location offered a few surprises: people of all kinds. A man and woman that had to be in their 50s were chomping down on a crispy fish taco while a Vietnamese family of four ordered several shrimp tacos and a horchata. “This is definitely something new,” said the employee who heats the tortillas at Ricky’s. “Normally it’s just tight jeans and faded T-shirts. Baggy khakis, tucked in polo shirts, and old tennis shoes are refreshing, know what I mean?”
